Position Overview

Unity Point Wellness & Counseling is searching for a dedicated and passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients facing severe emotional and mental health challenges, primarily in our detox center setting. Work Environment

This position operates in a largely remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining close connections with clients through telehealth and virtual meetings. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to clients in both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on those experiencing symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.
• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress and adjusts treatment plans accordingly.
• Develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the client, their families, and other healthcare providers, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to address clients' specific needs while respecting their diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and stabilization efforts for clients during times of acute need, ensuring safety and therapeutic support.
• Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with organizational guidelines and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in regular team meetings and case consultations to share insights and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Engage clients in discussions around personal goals, choices, and empowerment to promote better treatment outcomes.
• Identify and resolve safety issues promptly, enforcing appropriate procedures to maintain a secure environment for clients.
• Be available for on-call coverage during and after program hours, as necessary, to support clients in crisis.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on serving individuals who are navigating significant mental health challenges, often in a detoxification phase. This includes clients struggling with substance use disorders, severe emotional disturbances, and co-occurring conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification is mandatory.
• At least two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health or substance use treatment setting is essential.
• Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices relevant to mental health and substance use care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a specific emphasis on client documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working specifically in detox, rehabilitation, or a community mental health setting is highly valued.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual client engagement techniques.
