Position Overview

Unity Point Wellness & Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' needs, and create individualized therapy plans that leverage evidence-based practices.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused approaches tailored for individual, group, and family settings.
• Document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in compliance with ethical and legal standards while using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with healthcare professionals to provide seamless, comprehensive care for clients.
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed on advances in mental health practices and enhance your counseling skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve serving individuals and families who may have limited access to mental health services. You will address a diverse range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and supported in their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is necessary, demonstrating your commitment and capability in the mental health field.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment will be viewed favorably.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software and the ability to adapt to new technologies will enhance your effectiveness in our clinic.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for developing rapport with a diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits

• The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
