Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Turtle Bay Resort, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Director of Marketing

Position Summary

Turtle Bay Resort is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Social Media Manager to lead and grow our social media presence across key platforms. This role is responsible for developing engaging content, managing day‑to‑day social activity, growing brand awareness, and showcasing the unique guest experience, natural beauty, and lifestyle of Turtle Bay Resort.

The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, trend‑spotter, content strategist, and brand guardian — someone who knows how to turn everyday resort moments into content people want to save, share, and book because of.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with Turtle Bay Resort’s brand, marketing goals, and seasonal campaigns
  • Manage daily activity across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other emerging channels as appropriate
  • Create, schedule, publish, and optimize engaging content including photos, videos, Reels, Stories, captions, and short‑form copy
  • Capture on‑property content that highlights resort accommodations, dining, activities, wellness offerings, events, weddings, and the North Shore lifestyle
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, sales, food and beverage, spa, events, and guest experience to surface timely content opportunities
  • Maintain a cohesive brand voice and visual identity across all channels
  • Monitor social trends, platform updates, and cultural moments to keep content fresh, relevant, and high‑performing
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, tags, and guest‑generated content in a timely and brand‑appropriate manner
  • Manage community sentiment and elevate guest service concerns when needed
  • Build and maintain a content calendar tied to promotions, holidays, events, partnerships, and resort priorities
  • Track social media performance and provide regular reports with insights, recommendations, and next‑step strategy
  • Support influencer partnerships, creator visits, brand collaborations, and user‑generated content initiatives
  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, designers, and agency partners as needed
  • Assist with paid social campaigns by partnering with internal teams or external agencies on creative direction and campaign execution
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality, Journalism, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media for a hospitality, travel, lifestyle, luxury, or consumer‑facing brand
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, and current digital trends
  • Proven ability to create compelling content that drives engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Experience with social scheduling, analytics, and reporting tools
  • Strong eye for visual storytelling, branding, and aesthetics
  • Comfortable shooting and editing mobile‑first photo and video content
  • Ability to work both strategically and hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to capture content during events, weekends, or special resort moments when needed
