Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician (CHT / CHWS Required)

NeuroBridge | Fort Worth, TX (or insert City, State)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Full-Time)

Pay Range: $60.000 to $80.000 Annually

Setting: Outpatient Neurological Recovery & Clinical Research Center

We integrate neuroscience, rehabilitation medicine, metabolic optimization, and hyperbaric medicine to deliver individualized treatment protocols while measuring outcomes with research-grade precision.

As our practice grows, we are seeking an experienced Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Technician to join our clinical team. This position is ideal for a skilled professional committed to patient safety, operational excellence, and delivering cutting-edge neurological care.

Primary Responsibilities

Patient Care & Monitoring

  • Patient Preparation: Conduct pre-treatment safety screenings, verify treatment readiness, and educate patients on HBOT procedures and safety protocols.
  • Clinical Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients during hyperbaric sessions, assess vital signs, and respond immediately to any changes in condition or adverse events.
  • EMR Documentation: Complete precise and timely patient documentation, treatment logs, and informed consent records within the Electronic Medical Record system.

Chamber Operations & Maintenance

  • Chamber Execution: Safely operate monoplace and multiplace hyperbaric chambers under the direction of the supervising physician.
  • System Checks: Perform daily operational testing, equipment inspections, and monitor chamber pressure and oxygen delivery systems.
  • Equipment Care: Assist with preventative maintenance, maintain treatment logs, and coordinate vendor servicing as required.

Safety, Regulatory & Team Collaboration

  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with UHMS, NFPA, OSHA, and infection prevention standards.
  • Safety Drills: Lead and participate in emergency response procedures, chamber safety drills, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Multidisciplinary Support: Collaborate daily with physicians, nurses, and therapists to foster a seamless, patient-centered clinical environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Credentials:

  • Certification: Active Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Wound Specialist (CHWS) credential.
  • Clinical License: Current clinical license or certification in at least one of the following roles:
    • EMT or Paramedic
    • LVN or RN
    • Respiratory Therapist (RT)
    • Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
    • Military Corpsman
  • Basic Life Support: Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
  • Experience: 2+ years of direct Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) experience in a clinical setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS Certification (American Heart Association).
  • Advanced certifications in wound care or hyperbaric medicine.
  • Thorough knowledge of UHMS and NFPA hyperbaric safety codes.
