Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and functional capabilities and develop individualized treatment plans accordingly.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions focusing on enhancing patients' ability to perform daily living activities, such as self-care, work-related tasks, and leisure pursuits.
  • Document all patient interactions and progress meticulously using electronic medical record systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate integrated treatment plans that address the holistic needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs.
  • Engage and educate family members about therapeutic processes and how to support their loved ones' recovery journeys.
  • Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and feedback on clinical strategies and administrative practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Stay updated with advances in the field of Occupational Therapy through continuing education and training workshops.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care by utilizing innovative techniques and fostering meaningful relationships with patients.
  • Perform additional clinical tasks as assigned by management, contributing to the overall functioning of the rehabilitation center.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Occupational Therapist at True Fit Sports Therapy, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting adolescents through seniors in regaining independence and functionality in their daily lives. This role emphasizes the importance of understanding each patient’s unique background, preferences, and goals in developing effective treatment plans.

Qualifications
  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in good standing in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, although a Master’s degree or Doctorate is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality adhering to HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Resourcefulness and good judgment in clinical decision-making.
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to receiving and providing constructive feedback.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an occupational therapy role, ideally within an orthopedic outpatient setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, customizing treatment approaches to cater to individual patient needs.
