Trinity Washington University seeks a Laboratory Manager and EHS Officer to support its science laboratories. Trinity, a comprehensive university that offers undergraduate programming in the sciences, seeks an individual for this full-time position available as early as September 1, 2026.
Schedule:Supporting Science faculty and supervising student workers, theLaboratory Manager will be responsible for preparing materials for teachinglab exercises, and formaintaining clean and safelabs withworking equipment in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, and Physics. Duties include working collaboratively with faculty to understand their courseneeds, training and supervising student workers,keepinginventories and planning ahead to maintain appropriate stock,purchasing, and managing financial records.
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Laboratory Manager will be the first responder for issues related to equipment/instrumentation inventory, care and maintenance. The Laboratory Manager will at times be called to share their expertise through an instructional role that supports laboratory experiences for students and/or through teaching opportunities. As EHS Officer, the individual will beresponsible for adherence to biohazard/chemical safety precautions, chemical waste management, inventory and disposal of biohazard materials and chemicals, database for chemical safety data sheets, safety training for faculty, students, adjuncts, safety checks and safetyrecords, andkeeping current on regulations and requirements.
