Transportation Made Simple (TMS) is expanding our Owner Operator fleet and looking for experienced, dependable Class A CDL Owner Operators for port and intermodal container work throughout the Northeast and beyond.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Valid TWIC card
• Must be eligible to enter and operate within port terminals
• Manual transmission experience
• Acceptable driving record
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Knowledge of port and intermodal operations preferred

Owner Operator Responsibilities

• Safely transport intermodal containers and other assigned freight
• Pick up and deliver containers from port terminals and customer locations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and equipment
• Use GPS and routing tools to plan efficient routes
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, port, terminal, and company safety requirements
• Complete required paperwork and shipment documentation
• Maintain professional communication and service with customers
• Represent Transportation Made Simple professionally at all times
