Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Veterinarian role based in Hoboken, GA. The Associate Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide preventive care such as vaccinations and wellness counseling. Daily responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic tests, performing routine and advanced procedures and surgeries, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves communicating clearly with animal caregivers, explaining treatment options, and collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. The Associate Veterinarian will also support practice protocols, contribute to case discussions, and participate in continuing education to stay current with veterinary best practices.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility for Georgia veterinary licensure.
  • Clinical skills in physical examination, diagnostics, and treatment planning for companion animals; experience with surgical and dental procedures preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for educating clients, collaborating with team members, and documenting medical information clearly.
  • Commitment to animal welfare, ethical medical practice, and evidence-based care, with sound judgment in emergency and routine situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, manage multiple cases, and contribute to a positive, respectful team culture.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development; experience in mixed-animal practice or rural veterinary care is a plus.
