Step into a role where your engineering expertise directly shapes the future of field service operations. A confidential employer in Houston has recently been acquired by a global heavy industrial machinery leader, creating an exciting time to join. As the Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will take the lead in transforming traditional paper-based processes into efficient digital workflows, giving you a front-row seat to modernizing how field teams work.

Your day-to-day will involve rolling out smarter software tools, developing technical documentation that speeds up operations, and training field teams around the world. By improving tooling systems and driving quality initiatives, you will help reduce downtime and increase safety on critical rotating equipment. This role is not just about support—it’s about building a data-driven, digitally enabled Field Service organization that sets new standards in the industry.

The ideal person for this role brings a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or mechatronics engineering and at least five years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment. You are someone who naturally seeks out better ways to do things, whether it’s automating a report, simplifying a work instruction, or introducing a new tool. You enjoy traveling occasionally to job sites and working closely with field teams to understand their challenges. Clear communication and a bias for action are part of your DNA.

With a salary of $120,000 to $150,000, negotiable relocation, and a clear path to grow inside a rapidly expanding company, this is a career move worth making. You will not only modernize field service today but also shape the systems that will carry the company into the future. Ready to put your stamp on a global operation? Apply today to start the conversation about your next chapter.

Non-Negotiables
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
  • You bring at least five years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or field service
  • You have hands-on experience with rotating equipment, turbomachinery, or industrial machinery in a field service setting
  • You are authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
  • You are willing and able to travel occasionally to customer sites and project locations
What's In It For You
  • You will earn a competitive annual salary between $120,000 and $150,000 based on your experience and impact

  • Contribute to the creation of training programs, knowledge-sharing systems, and digital learning tools for field teams
  • Drive quality initiatives and support the development of tooling systems used during field service and overhaul activities
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites and project locations to maintain a practical understanding of field operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience gained through engineering roles, manufacturing, operations, field service, internships, or co-op programs is preferred
  • Direct experience with rotating equipment, turbomachinery, or industrial equipment in a field service context is highly desirable
  • A genuine interest in software applications, process improvement, and modern operational tools will set you apart
  • You are self-driven, innovative, and eager to make a meaningful impact on the organization
