Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while safeguarding client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to clients, integrating insights from medical professionals, social workers, and other therapists.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay informed about the latest research, treatment methodologies, and best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Together & Strong Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing stress management issues, work-life balance challenges, and interpersonal conflicts. Your role will be pivotal in providing empathetic support to clients who may also be navigating mental health disorders, emotional distress, or substance abuse issues. Understanding and addressing the unique circumstances of each client will be crucial to their journey towards healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• Demonstrated ability to meet internal credentialing requirements relevant to clinical settings.
• A minimum of one year of professional counseling experience, particularly with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Strong background in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment through both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Basic proficiency in computer usage, including familiarity with clinical documentation systems and necessary software applications.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community health settings or clinics with an emphasis on client-centered care.
• Familiarity with providing telehealth services and using virtual platforms for conducting therapy sessions.
• Demonstrated history of effective communication and rapport-building skills with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
