Your expertise will help shape our approach to delivering personalized care that fosters mental health and well-being.

About the Organization

Together & Strong Counseling is a premier private outpatient mental health practice committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families within our community. Our mission centers on delivering high-quality mental health services in a safe, supportive environment that prioritizes client-centered care. We offer a comprehensive suite of therapeutic options, including psychopharmacological treatments and counseling sessions, designed to meet the unique needs of each client.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while also providing services within our Community Health Clinic framework. Our environment fosters collaboration with other mental health providers at Comprehensive Psychiatric Care, where we share office spaces, leadership, and a commitment to innovative care practices. We value a culture of professionalism, healthy work-life balance, and respect for all team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients by establishing strong, trusting relationships that adhere to professional ethics and boundaries.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss their progress, stability, and upcoming appointments, and prepare for discharge when deemed appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously monitor individualized treatment plans that center on the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and treatment documentation, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Perform intake assessments to gather comprehensive information on new clients, aiding in the development of effective treatment strategies.
  • Deliver individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to client-specific needs.
  • Engage in individual supervision to enhance personal and professional growth, as well as participate in team meetings to share insights and best practices.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to create a holistic approach to mental health care.
  • Embrace a growth mindset by seeking opportunities for continuous learning and adaptation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will impact a varied clientele, including individuals facing significant life challenges, mental health disorders, and emotional disturbances. As an LPC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clients through their journeys toward healing, resilience, and personal growth. Our commitment to an inclusive practice ensures that we serve individuals from all backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community and diverse ethnicities.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must possess an active, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the State of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting is required.
  • Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in using digital tools, including Excel spreadsheets and RMS systems.
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families, with a focus on effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Ability to competently complete intake assessments, contributing to the development of personalized treatment plans.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation standards.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, determined by experience and qualifications. Our compensation structure utilizes a fee-for-service model, ensuring guaranteed rates paid ahead of collections, thus minimizing wait times for reimbursement. Additional benefits include:

  • Bonus opportunities based on performance and client engagement.
  • W2 employment with a strong focus on work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance with supplemental options.
  • A robust 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions to support your financial future.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage is provided for clinicians.
