Together & Strong Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a remote capacity, serving clients throughout Bridgeport, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients, establishing and nurturing professional relationships while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Conduct regular sessions with clients to track progress, discuss stability, and determine readiness for discharge when appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that are centered on the client’s specific needs and goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates for each client.
  • Perform thorough intake assessments to identify client needs and appropriate treatment paths.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions each week, applying best practices and evidence-based techniques.
  • Engage in individual supervision and team meetings to enhance personal clinical skills and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal LPC will work primarily with an outpatient population presenting with a range of mental health challenges. Our clientele includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities, and emphasizes a holistic approach to emotional and psychological well-being. Through tailored treatment plans and empathetic engagement, our counselors strive to facilitate healing and personal growth among clients.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) designation, allowing for independent practice.
  • A minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating competence in individual therapy and client engagement.
  • Proficiency with technology and software commonly used in the mental health field, including Microsoft Office Suite, clinical record management systems, and other electronic tools.
  • Experience in conducting intake assessments is highly desirable, ensuring thorough evaluation of client needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to a wide range of clients, including individuals and families.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and the ability to adapt approaches to suit each client’s unique needs.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating adaptability and effective communication skills.
