What You’ll Do as a Second Sous Chef

As our Second Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and our dishes maintain the high standards our customers love. Working closely with our Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll take on a supervisory role while honing your skills in every aspect of food preparation. Here’s what your responsibilities will include:

• Learn and master all cooking and preparation stations, including making pasta from scratch.
• Oversee weekly inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure accurate weekly orders.
• Check in and properly store vendor deliveries to maintain freshness and organization.
• Ensure sanitation procedures are followed to keep the kitchen safe and clean.
• Assist in maintaining menu preparation consistency and suggest improvements to food preparation.
• Train less experienced cooks based on your expertise and skills.
• Expedite server orders at the pickup station, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
• Collaborate with the Chef and Sous Chef to uphold our reputation for outstanding Italian cuisine.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate with at least 1 year of culinary experience who is eager to grow and contribute to our team. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A passion for Italian food and a willingness to learn traditional cooking techniques.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and oversee kitchen operations.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Leadership abilities to train and guide less experienced team members.
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with the Chef and Sous Chef.
