Job Description:

Premier Brands Group Holdings Inc. is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Denim Wholesale Distribution Center in South Hill, VA. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for assuring that benefit administration, recruitment, training, and utilization of the human resources of the Distribution Center(s) are in accordance with the philosophy and guidelines established by OJG. Decisions involve substantial and broad impact and risk to the organization
  • Implements, maintains and advises on all polices and procedures utilized in the operations of OJG.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compensation system for all management, administration and hourly non-exempt employees is competitive in the market place, and internal equity throughout the facility is maintained.
  • Responsible for providing a means of assuring open communications for all associates.
  • Responsible for administration and communication of all aspects of associates benefit programs.
  • Selects or identifies candidates for employment/termination, conducts and reviews performance evaluations, and maintains an effective, timely, hiring and orientation program to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Responsible for compliance of (EEOC) Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, State Department Employment Security, Workers’ Compensation, (AAP) Affirmative Action Program, OSHA and assures proper timely submission of mandated reports in accordance with federal and state requirements.
  • Act in accordance with pre-established guidelines and processes.
  • Escalate issues to senior management.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with operations and warehouse associates to understand current issues and dispensing advice and making recommendations on matters.
  • General Distribution Center Management/associates/staffing agencies.
  • Devising and developing effective communications between and among management and associates to promote associate morale and provide an environment conducive to achieving reduced costs and increased productivity.
  • Resolves issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensures department costs are controlled.
  • Builds an environment that supports cooperation and cohesiveness among the work team and other areas within the organization.
  • Uses reliable, independent and sound judgement in decision making.
  • Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Successfully manages multiple projects and competing priorities while balancing the need for quality with meeting deadlines.
