Position Summary

The Behavior Technician assists in implementing behavioral and treatment goals for preschool-aged children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. This role works closely with Lead and Supporting Behavior Technicians to help create a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment focused on child development and progress.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans and behavioral goals
  • Support group instructional activities and daily classroom routines
  • Collect and document behavioral and developmental data accurately
  • Assist with tracking child progress and preparing reports
  • Maintain organized materials and therapy environments
  • Collaborate with team members regarding child progress and daily activities
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and staff development activities
  • Support newly hired Behavior Technicians through mentoring and collaboration
  • Maintain compliance with insurance, ethical, and company standards
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and engaging therapy environment
  • Monitor and report suspected child abuse or safety concerns immediately
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and integrity in all interactions
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of 6 months working in a classroom or structured educational setting
  • Minimum of 6 months working with preschool-aged children with Autism or other developmental disabilities preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, as training modules, data collection systems, and insurance documentation are completed in English
