With locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, The Future Perfect has built a reputation for its curated, thought-provoking exhibitions and collaborations with international artists and designers.

About the Role -

The Logistics Coordinator oversees East Coast logistics in support of client order fulfillment, gallery programming, and inventory management. This role manages the movement, documentation, and stewardship of fine art, furniture, and collectible design across sales, exhibitions, loans, inter-gallery transfers, and special projects.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, clear-communicating, and solutions-oriented — comfortable managing a high volume of complex, time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

📍 Hybrid — twice weekly at our Brooklyn warehouse, with occasional presence at the Manhattan office and offsite locations. Occasional travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead East Coast shipping and logistics operations across all departments
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including trucking, white glove delivery, customs, and import/export documentation
  • Manage inventory intake, condition reporting, tracking, and stewardship in coordination with purchasing, exhibition, and warehouse teams
  • Prepare and maintain all shipping and logistics documentation: labels, certificates of insurance, packing slips, manifests, and customs paperwork
  • Liaise with clients, shippers, art handlers, warehouses, insurance providers, and storage vendors; communicate proactively about schedules, status, and any disruptions
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate shipping quotes balancing cost, transit time, service level, and object requirements
  • Reconcile logistics invoices, monitor freight expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Coordinate exhibition logistics, loans, inter-gallery transfers, installations, and special projects
  • Track KPIs and report regularly on shipping and delivery performance
  • Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Client Services on availability, timelines, and seamless client experience
  • Identify and implement improvements to logistics processes, documentation standards, and vendor performance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years in logistics, registrar, gallery, museum, or related operations
  • Experience shipping fine art, furniture, and 3D/collectible objects
  • Strong knowledge of East Coast fine art/furniture shippers and national logistics vendors
  • Experience managing international shipments and export documentation
  • Strong understanding of packing, handling, storage, and warehouse best practices
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, inventory systems, and logistics software; Salesforce or Artlogic experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Competitive salary plus discretionary bonus; full benefits including health coverage, PTO, and 401(k) with employer matching.
