The Dog Walker and Pet Sitter plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of pets through daily walking, feeding, medication administration, and sitting services. This position involves working independently as part of a pet care team, providing reliable care during daily visits and occasional overnight stays. The role requires excellent communication with clients, careful observation of pet behavior, and meticulous record keeping, all while using a personal vehicle to travel between assignments.

Responsibilities

• Walk pets regularly to ensure exercise and well-being
• Feed pets according to specific dietary requirements
• Administer medications such as oral, eye drops, ear drops, insulin injections, subcutaneous fluids
• Provide attentive pet sitting during daily visits and overnight stays
• Observe and report any behavioral changes or health concerns
• Maintain pet safety at all times during visits
• Communicate effectively with clients to update on pet status
• Keep accurate records of pet activities and care provided
• Use personal vehicle for transportation between assignments

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in pet care
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong animal handling skills
• Effective time management abilities
• Excellent customer service skills
• Reliable and responsible work ethic
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Attention to detail in pet care and record keeping
