The Membership Associate is responsible for driving membership growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and serving as the primary on-site resource for all membership-related needs. This role combines sales, administrative support, and front-line customer engagement to ensure a seamless and positive experience for both prospective and existing members.
Key Responsibilities:
Membership Sales amp; Enrollment
  • Proactively engage with guests to promote and sell membership packages
  • Clearly explain membership tiers, benefits, pricing, and policies
  • Meet or exceed individual and team membership sales goals
  • Conduct tours of the facility for prospective members
  • Assist customers in selecting the membership that best fits their needs
Member Account Management
  • Accurately create, update, and maintain member profiles in the database
  • Process new memberships, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations
  • Ensure all member records, waivers, and documentation are complete and compliant
  • Monitor membership status and follow up on expirations or billing issues
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of customer data
Customer Service amp; On-Site Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for membership-related questions and concerns
  • Provide a welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable presence at the front desk or membership area
  • Resolve member issues efficiently and escalate when necessary
  • Build strong relationships with members to encourage retention and satisfaction
  • Assist with check-ins and ensure members understand facility policies and procedures
Administrative amp; Operational Support
  • Maintain organized records and daily reporting on membership activity
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall facility operations
  • Assist with promotions, events, and marketing initiatives related to memberships
  • Keep membership materials, displays, and sales areas clean and well-stocked
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service required.
  • Experience in hospitality, membership management, or high-touch customer service strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, POS systems, and basic office software
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Skills:
  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on customer experience
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Interest in shooting sports or recreational membership environments is a plus
