Job description

Position Summary:

Our Network of Security Franchises needs a reliable Payroll Specialist to serve as a direct contact for our rapidly growing organization of Franchise Owners located across the US. Our dedicated team of Payroll Specialists currently support over 185 Franchise Locations. We are looking for an experienced professional who understands the unique factors involved in processing payroll for multiple locations. This role includes but is not limited to training Franchise Owners on payroll processes and software, processing payroll and payroll items, research and applying tax knowledge for multi state Franchises.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Process payroll according to instruction by Individually owned Franchise Owner. (and according to Local, State and Federal laws)
  • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes to assist and work with tax filing within ADP
  • Pulling hourly data from proprietary timekeeping software & importing into ADP Payroll Software
  • Entering Payroll items such as deductions, commissions, bonuses etc.
  • Setting up garnishment deductions within payroll system
  • Creating reports for Franchise Owners and Management
  • Run payroll cash reports for Accounting Department
  • Provide Training to New Franchise Owners and ongoing training on payroll processes and procedures
  • Provide resources on Payroll/Taxes/Legislative updates/Onboarding etc.
  • Provide Payroll Measurements and Trends to Management
  • Answer emails and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Correspond with Franchise Owners regularly to maintain an open line of communication
  • Perform Franchise Owner Payroll Audits as requested
  • Update internal and external process training guide
  • Project board and other tasks as assigned

  • A good comprehension of our business model and operations will need to be learned during the first month of training
  • Enthusiastic team player with the desire to create a positive work environment

  • Ability to exercise sound and timely judgement and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
