Role Summary

TESIM Electric is seeking a senior electrical estimator or preconstruction professional who can develop accurate, executable bids and help win profitable commercial electrical work. This is a technical, customer-facing role for someone who can estimate, communicate value, build relationships, and help convert opportunities into awarded projects. Data-center electrical experience and an established industry network are highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead conceptual, schematic, design-development, and construction-document estimates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, narratives, addenda, schedules, contracts, and bid requirements.
  • Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, indirect-cost, and risk assumptions; solicit and level quotes.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, constructability issues, long-lead items, and schedule or commercial risks.
  • Prepare alternates, value-engineering ideas, clarifications, qualifications, and customer-ready proposals.
  • Support hard-bid, negotiated, design-build, and design-assist pursuits and lead estimate reviews.
  • Develop relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, developers, vendors, and other partners.
  • Help identify and qualify opportunities, support presentations and negotiations, and maintain disciplined follow-up.
  • Create a thorough turnover package and transfer estimating knowledge to operations after award.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical estimating, preconstruction, or closely related experience.
  • Ability to independently build detailed estimates and clear proposals from complete or early-stage information.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, labor units, materials, equipment, plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Customer-facing communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building ability.
  • Sound judgment regarding margin, risk, capacity, schedule, and whether an opportunity fits TESIM Electric.
  • Proficiency with electrical estimating, takeoff, spreadsheet, and document-review software.
Preferred Experience
  • Data centers or mission-critical electrical work, including medium voltage, switchgear, generators, UPS, PDU/busway, grounding, controls, testing, and commissioning.
  • An active network among owners, general contractors, engineers, developers, or technology-sector partners.
  • Large, fast-track, phased, design-build, or design-assist pursuits.
  • Accubid, LiveCount, Trimble, Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, or Procore; electrical field experience or license.
Success Measures

Qualified pipeline growth; timely, complete estimates; clear proposals; profitable wins; repeat customers; smooth handoff to operations.

Compensation

This is an hourly position. Competitive hourly rate, DOE — starting rate and any approved incentives will be based on experience, estimating capability, customer relationships, and role scope.

Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage.
