Job Title: SLP: Inpatient Psych
Location: Terrell, TX
Setting: State Prison
Pay Range: $1245 weekly
Schedule: Part Time, 3 days a week (flexible on days), Up to 24 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience as a SLP-CCC
• Valid SLP-CCC License
• Be willing to obtain Texas licensure

Responsibilities
As a healthcare professional in a State Psychiatric facility, you'll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations for patients with behavioral health, developmental, neurological, and psychiatric diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans designed to improve communication, cognitive functioning, social interaction skills, and safe swallowing abilities-ensuring compliance with facility, state, and professional standards.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia disorders while monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members in a secure, structured environment-supporting patient recovery, safety, and quality of life.
