JOB SUMMARY:
The Trade Marketing - Level I position represents and promotes TMG's brands through consumer engagement, product demonstrations, events, and field-based marketing activities. This role supports brand awareness, customer loyalty, and positive customer experiences while serving as a professional face and voice of the brand.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Represent and promote assigned brands through product demonstrations, consumer engagement, events, trade shows, and marketing campaigns.
  • Educate potential customers about products, services, promotions, and brand offerings in a clear, professional, and compliant manner.
  • Install point-of-sale materials, displays, and other approved marketing materials as directed by management.
  • Use approved social media platforms, when directed by management, to share brand messages, engage followers, and support brand visibility.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, influencers, community members, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify potential leads, support brand advocacy, and improve customer engagement.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of assigned brands, products, services, promotions, industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights.
  • Gather customer feedback, consumer insights, and market observations to share with management, marketing, and product development teams.
  • Prepare regular reports on consumer feedback, competitor activity, market trends, campaign effectiveness, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Accurately track and document inventory of product samples, promotional items, and marketing materials used for assigned activities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the brand image and supports positive customer experiences.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers, team members, managers, and community partners while following the established chain of command.
  • Support operational and policy updates by sharing accurate information, assisting team members, and participating in training when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Comfortable working with the public and representing products within the tobacco industry, where legally permitted and in compliance with company policy.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, customer service, promotions, retail, or a related public-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers, team members, and community partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing effectively.
  • Familiarity with assigned brands and a genuine interest in the products and services being promoted.
  • Professional, well-groomed, enthusiastic, outgoing, and approachable when representing the brand to the public.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and campaigns.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including internet access and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within Native American territories, Tribal communities, or community-based retail environments.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout assigned work areas for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift, carry, set up, and move promotional materials, product samples, and display items weighing up to 35 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to travel to various assigned locations, events, retail sites, and community-based marketing activities as needed.
  • Work may occur indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, fuel odors, moderate noise, and active customer-facing environments.
  • Requires manual dexterity and attention to detail when setting up displays, organizing product placements, and handling promotional materials.
