Job description

We’re seeking a hands-on HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal professional will be a bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Partner to serve as the strategic people leader and sole on-site HR presence for our client’s manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will split your focus between strategic growth (60%) and operational floor execution (40%). Working as a direct thought partner to the Plant Manager, you will lead organizational transformation, drive change management, elevate leadership capabilities, and maintain a high-trust, compliant workplace culture.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bilingual Fluency (English & Spanish): Ability to seamlessly communicate (written and spoken), build trust, and deliver training on the shop floor and to the executive leadership team.
  • California Employment Law Expertise: Deep, current working knowledge of CA labor regulations, wage/hour compliance, and employee relations.
  • Proven Track Record in Organizational Transformation: Hands-on experience leading change management initiatives, workforce planning, talent development, and coaching.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred. PHR-CA or SPHR-CA certification is a major plus.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Partner & Executive Coach (60%)

  • Direct Plant Leadership Partner: Drive people strategies aligned with business outcomes alongside the Plant Manager and regional leadership.
  • Organizational Transformation & Change: Lead cultural and operational shifts across the site, building buy-in across hourly and salaried teams.
  • Workforce Planning & Talent Pipelines: Build robust career pathways, succession plans, and retention strategies to meet business growth goals.
  • Leadership Coaching: Provide daily coaching to shop floor managers and supervisors to elevate leadership maturity and team performance.

Site Execution & Employee Relations (40%)

  • Floor Presence: Serve as the trusted, visible HR leader for hourly and salaried workforce.
  • CA Compliance & Safety: Oversee end-to-end employee relations, investigations, labor law compliance, and safety integration.
  • HR Analytics: Utilize data and HR toolsets to track retention, career path ratios, and talent development outcomes.
