Job description

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Field Technician to perform low-voltage, IT, and technology-related field service work throughout the Savannah, GA area.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently at customer locations, troubleshooting technical issues, installing and servicing low-voltage equipment, and completing work accurately and professionally.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage and IT systems

  • Install and service network cabling, Ethernet, structured cabling, and related equipment

  • Assist with installation and troubleshooting of routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network equipment

  • Perform basic computer, hardware, and peripheral troubleshooting

  • Install, test, label, and terminate low-voltage cabling

  • Diagnose connectivity and equipment issues

  • Follow technical work orders, site instructions, and customer requirements

  • Document completed work, including photos, equipment information, and test results

  • Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and project coordinators

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Travel to various customer and job sites throughout the Savannah area

  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and installation standards




RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in IT field services, low-voltage installation, telecommunications, networking, or a related technical field

  • Valid driver's license

  • Reliable transportation to travel to customer and job sites

  • Own basic hand tools required for field service work

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Ability to pass drug testing

  • Basic understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with Ethernet and structured cabling

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Professional communication and customer-service skills

  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required

  • Comfortable working in different customer environments and job-site conditions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling

  • Experience terminating RJ45 connectors and keystone jacks

  • Experience with network switches, routers, and wireless access points

  • Experience with POS systems, access control, cameras, or other low-voltage systems

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar

  • Previous field service or data center experience
