Position Overview:

The Heidelberg Diana Easy and Moll Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the Heidelberg Diana Easy and Moll to produce high-quality folded and glued cartons, paper and other products according to customer specifications. The operator ensures efficient setup, production, quality control, and compliance with safety standards while maintaining a smooth production flow and a safe, organized work environment to meet quality and productivity goals.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the Heidelberg Diana Easy/Moll for various carton styles and materials.
• Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications.
• Adjust machine settings (feeders, glue systems, folding sections, compression units) for optimal performance.
• Monitor production to ensure quality standards are met (alignment, bonding, folding accuracy, and structural fit).
• Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of equipment.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Maintain production logs and documentation.
• Work closely with pre-press, die-cut, and finishing departments.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and company policies.

 

 Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• Experience operating folder gluers, preferably Heidelberg Diana Easy, Moll or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings, DLRs and job specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control focus.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Embrace and display a positive attitude with a focus on both the internal and external clients.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and maneuver materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Visual acuity to assist with quality inspection and material handling.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts safely.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• 1–3+ years of experience in folding carton or packaging production.
• Familiarity of various carton styles, paper products, and gluing applications, including straight-line, auto-lock bottom, and tape applications.
• Knowledge of adhesives and glue systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Show interest in developing skills in printing and manufacturing operations.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
