Job description

Wisconsin Subs LLC — Fractional Bookkeeper

Wisconsin Subs LLC is an independently owned Subway franchise group operating locations across northern Wisconsin. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-directed fractional bookkeeper to manage the ongoing financial reporting and compliance functions of our business. This is a flexible, ongoing engagement suited to someone who works independently and communicates proactively.

Annual tax preparation is handled by an outside CPA firm — your focus is keeping the books clean, current, and compliant throughout the year.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements for each location and the consolidated entity
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts on an ongoing monthly basis, flagging variances or anomalies
  • File quarterly Wisconsin sales tax returns accurately and on time

  • Process and remit withholding tax deposits in accordance with federal and state schedules
  • Prepare annual Profit & Loss statements for ownership and the external CPA firm
  • Maintain organized, auditready records and provide clean documentation to the tax preparer at yearend
  • Communicate proactively with ownership regarding deadlines, performance, and any issues identified
  • Assist with biweekly payroll processing
  • Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience

Demonstrated experience with small business bookkeeping and financial reporting

Working knowledge of Wisconsin sales tax filing requirements

Familiarity with federal and state payroll withholding tax obligations

Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet recurring deadlines independently

Multi-unit or franchise business experience is a plus
