Job description

Superior Forge amp; Steel Corporation is currently hiring an Electrician for our operation. The Electrician is a member of our Maintenance Department responsible for providing electrical and electronic maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment.
Shift - 2nd or 3rd
COMPETITIVE WAGES (based on experience), benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO and Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, this position is eligible for production and other incentives.
Responsibilities:
  • Installing and maintaining AC and DC industrial electrical equipment and control systems
  • Installing and maintaining facility electrical, lighting, and power distribution
  • Reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches,
  • Mentoring less experienced/knowledgeable co-workers
  • Following company guidelines and directives
  • Performing various assigned department duties
Physical Requirements amp; Environmental Conditions:
  • Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
  • Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
  • This position has consistent daily physical demands
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical degree or electrical apprenticeship is a plus
  • Basic math skills required
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Industrial electrical and control experience required
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
Classification: Hourly
Benefits:
  • Eligible upon hire: Company paid safety shoes.
