Experienced Electrical Estimator

Position Summary

Steadfast Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to accurately prepare competitive bids for commercial and residential electrical projects. This position plays a critical role in securing new business and ensuring project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages.
• Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, engineers, and clients throughout the estimating process.
• Analyze project risks and opportunities to maximize profitability.
• Maintain estimating databases and current pricing information.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Assist with project handoff and budgeting after contract award.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience estimating commercial and Residential electrical projects.
• 5-10 years of electrical estimating experience preferred.
• Experience using BuildOps or similar construction management and service software
• Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical construction practices.
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
