Job description

THIS ISN'T YOUR AVERAGE X-RAY JOB

Most of our patients have nowhere else to turn. Some haven't seen a provider in years. Others can't leave their home. Many live in communities where quality healthcare feels out of reach.

You can change that.

Stat Mobile Imaging is launching a dedicated mobile imaging service in the Houston and Katy area, built specifically to serve the people who need it most: homebound elderly, nursing home residents, and underserved communities facing real barriers to diagnostic care. We bring the X-ray to them, with operational excellence, compassion, and dignity.

We are looking for our first few hires in this market. That means you will have a direct hand in shaping how we operate, how we show up for patients, and what kind of company we become in this community. If that level of responsibility appeals to you, we want to hear from you.

OUR MISSION

To provide accessible, compassionate, and high-quality diagnostic imaging to those who need it most — eliminating transportation barriers for patients with mobility issues or financial constraints.

WHAT YOUR DAYS LOOK LIKE

You will be in the field, working directly with patients who depend on you to show up prepared, skilled, and ready to deliver quality care in whatever setting you find them. Here is what that looks like on a typical day.

• Travel to skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, hospice settings, and private homes throughout the Houston/Katy area

• Perform high-quality portable digital X-rays (DR) including chest, extremity, spine, pelvis, and abdomen per physician orders

• Transmit images via PACS to a Radiologist for timely interpretation and notify ordering physicians promptly

• Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results to a Cardiologist for interpretation

• Prepare and position patients with patience and care, particularly those with limited mobility, dementia, or anxiety

• Adhere to radiation safety protocols (ALARA) and infection control standards at all times

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and thorough exam documentation

• Care for your vehicle and portable x-ray equipment with the same attention you give patients, because reliable equipment is part of reliable care

• Communicate clearly and professionally with facility staff, dispatch, and management

• Contribute to training and SOPs as we build our operational standards together

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You're not looking for easy. You want something meaningful. You thrive when you're trusted to work independently, you treat every patient regardless of their situation with warmth and respect, and you bring your best even when no one is watching.

• You have a genuine bedside manner and patients feel comfortable and safe with you

• You're self-directed and resourceful; you solve problems without needing hand-holding

• You communicate clearly with patients, families, and facility staff, including in sensitive or difficult situations

• You take pride in image quality and clinical accuracy every single time

• You embrace challenges as opportunities, not obstacles

• You understand that for many of our patients, you may be the most compassionate person they see that day

REQUIREMENTS

You must have all of the following to be considered:

• Active ARRT Certification (RT-R)

• Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License; both certifications must remain current at all times

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate's Degree or higher)

• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record in good standing

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Ability to lift, load, and maneuver portable X-ray equipment (up to 100 lbs)

• Computer proficiency; comfortable with digital documentation systems

YOU'LL STAND OUT IF YOU HAVE

• Prior mobile or portable X-ray experience

• Experience in SNF, ALF, hospice, or geriatric care settings

• Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems

• Knowledge of Medicare documentation standards

• 2+ years of clinical radiologic technology experience

THE DETAILS

Compensation: Competitive, based on your experience

Job Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Hours: 15–29 hours per week

Service Area: Greater Katy / Houston Metro, TX

Start Date: July 2026

WHY THIS ROLE IS WORTH YOUR TIME

• Ground-floor opportunity where you will help shape how we operate and set the standard for patient care in this market

• Meaningful work where every study you perform matters to a patient who had no other option

• Growth potential with a path to advance to Lead Technologist as we expand

• A team that values integrity, responsiveness, and compassion above productivity metrics
