Key Responsibilities:
- Greet Guests: Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude as they arrive at their tables.
- Take Orders: Accurately take food and beverage orders, answering any questions about the menu and making suggestions as needed.
- Serve Food & Beverages: Deliver food and drinks to guests in a timely and organized manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Customer Service: Anticipate guests' needs, provide refills, and respond promptly to any additional requests.
- Upsell: Suggest additional menu items such as appetizers, desserts, or drink specials to enhance the dining experience.
- Handle Payments: Present checks, process payments (cash, credit cards, gift cards), and return change or receipts.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure tables are clean and well-maintained throughout service. Assist in clearing dishes and resetting tables after guests leave.
- Handle Complaints: Address any guest concerns or complaints in a calm and professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth operations and service flow.
- Follow Health & Safety Standards: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a serving or customer service role is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables at once.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods of time.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
