This role is primarily based in our outpatient office in Metuchen, NJ. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct physical therapy treatment to enhance patient outcomes, alleviate pain, and restore muscle function according to individualized care plans.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure compliance with established treatment protocols and the effective delivery of therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, utilizing diagnostic tests to assess clients' physical capabilities and functional limitations.
  • Develop home rehabilitation strategies, making targeted recommendations to optimize patientsโ€™ independence and safety.
  • Administer a range of therapeutic procedures such as manual exercises, traction, and therapeutic modalities, tailored to each clientโ€™s specific condition and treatment goals.
  • Evaluate, fit, and adjust assistive devices such as orthotics and prosthetics, providing essential feedback to referring physicians.
  • Maintain detailed clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold the quality of care standards.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, collaborating on patient care strategies and sharing insights with team members for enhancing treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and physical therapy devices, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including timely submission of documentation and maintaining accurate clinical records, in accordance with organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions that require rehabilitation to restore mobility and functionality. Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid physical therapy license to practice in New Jersey.
  • Basic CPR certification.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license along with automobile insurance.
  • A passion for patient care, demonstrating commitment to clinical excellence and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative treatment plans for diverse patient needs.
Preferred Experience
  • One year of experience as a physical therapist, particularly in acute care or home care settings.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing physical therapy practice.
  • Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.
