About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, self-motivated analyst to support a defense industrial base (DIB) partner in addressing internal counterintelligence and supply chain risks. You'll join a seasoned team of analysts, investigators, technologists, and security professionals with your research directly feeding efforts to protect critical programs and technologies.
This is an entry-to-junior level role. We're not looking for someone who has all the answers. We're looking for someone who asks the right questions.
About You
- You believe protecting the United States' technological edge matters and you want to be part of that effort
- You are a critical thinker, understand analytic tradecraft, and are naturally curious...yet know when to surface from a rabbit hole
- You understand that consistency and discipline drive long-term impact
- You're eager to learn, take feedback, and grow within a high-performing team.
What Success Looks Like
- You answer the question asked and anticipate the questions that weren't
- You own your work and function as a genuine asset to the team, not just a task-completer
- You communicate findings clearly and can walk through your methodology, assumptions, and tradecraft with confidence
Responsibilities
- Conduct focused primary and secondary research on individuals, companies, and other entities of interest
- Produce timely, well-reasoned analytic products across a range of deadlines — from 24–48 hours to multi-week timelines
Key Qualifications
- Experience analyzing individuals, companies, and/or other types of organizations
- Ability to take/adapt to direction regarding research objectives, analytic standards, and operational security (OPSEC) protocol
- Experience delivering analytic or intelligence products
- Proficiency with open source tools, techniques and research resources
- Familiarity with closed source or subscription-based tools, or demonstrate ability to learn quickly
