Job description

Campus HVAC Service Technician – Tuskegee University

Spivey’s Heating & Air is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to work on-site at Tuskegee University. This position focuses on diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of HVAC equipment throughout the campus.


Applicants must have their own reliable transportation and a complete set of tools necessary to perform HVAC service and repair work. Approved job-related travel and fuel expenses will be reimbursed.

Primary responsibilities include:


  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment throughout the university campus
  • Troubleshooting mini-splits, traditional split systems, heat pumps, packaged units, air handlers, thermostats, electrical components, and controls
  • Checking refrigerant pressures, superheat, subcooling, airflow, and electrical readings
  • Performing preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Responding to HVAC service requests and documenting completed work
  • Communicating professionally with university personnel and team members
  • Maintaining clean and safe work areas


Requirements:


  • Previous hands-on HVAC service experience
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • EPA certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Must provide your own HVAC tools, gauges, meters, and standard hand tools
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned service calls
  • Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious
  • Ability to pass background screening


Travel and fuel reimbursement will be provided for approved work-related travel. Competitive pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
