Description
The Nursing Department at South Suburban College is seeking part-time adjunct clinical faculty in Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical, Advanced Medical-Surgical, Mental Health, and OB/PEDS. Responsibilities for clinical include but are not limited to providing a clinical educational experience that is reflective of didactic classroom learning.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master Degree in Nursing
  • a minimum of two years experience in education and/or clinical education
  • a license in Illinois. An Indiana license would be a plus.

Supplemental Information
The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program at South Suburban College is also seeking part-time adjunct faculty.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Current and active Illinois RN license in good standing along with a minimum of two years' experience teaching in a Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (theory, laboratory and clinical instruction and evaluation).
  • Current CPR card (American Heart Association for healthcare workers).
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check and urine drug screen and other health compliance.
  • Completion of the IDPH Train-the-Trainer Instructor and Approved Evaluator Certifications with the State of Illinois, within the last 5 years.
  • Recent experience with providing nursing care for the elderly, chronically ill and patients with Alzheimer's/dementia.
  • Computer skills.
  • Experience with technologies used for instruction.
  • CNAEA membership encouraged.
