Minimum Qualifications
- Master Degree in Nursing
- a minimum of two years experience in education and/or clinical education
- a license in Illinois. An Indiana license would be a plus.
Supplemental Information
The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program at South Suburban College is also seeking part-time adjunct faculty.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current and active Illinois RN license in good standing along with a minimum of two years' experience teaching in a Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (theory, laboratory and clinical instruction and evaluation).
- Current CPR card (American Heart Association for healthcare workers).
- Successfully pass a criminal background check and urine drug screen and other health compliance.
- Completion of the IDPH Train-the-Trainer Instructor and Approved Evaluator Certifications with the State of Illinois, within the last 5 years.
- Recent experience with providing nursing care for the elderly, chronically ill and patients with Alzheimer's/dementia.
- Computer skills.
- Experience with technologies used for instruction.
- CNAEA membership encouraged.
