An Accountant on the Soros Fund Management Finance team, covering accounts payable, treasury, and accounting/audit/reporting for SFM and the funds it manages.
This position sits within the Finance team, which oversees the accounting and financial reporting functions for SFM and the funds it manages. Responsibilities across accounts payable and treasury include processing and verifying invoices for accuracy and policy compliance, reconciling credit card charges and obtaining supporting documentation, managing cash flows and performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining vendor information in Workday. Accounting, audit and reporting responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures, assisting with ad hoc projects, and preparing annual 1099 forms.
Requirements: a bachelor\'s degree in accounting; 1-3 years of accounting experience (family office or investment firm background preferred); proficiency in Microsoft Excel; a technology-oriented mindset (Workday knowledge advantageous); a high degree of sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information; and strong communication skills. SFM has offices in New York City, Greenwich, Garden City, London and Dublin. Base salary $75,000-$85,000 plus a discretionary year-end bonus; hybrid schedule of four days onsite with one remote day permitted.
