Sons & Daughters

Sons & Daughters is a two-Michelin-starred and Michelin Green Star restaurant in San Francisco seeking an ambitious Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

Our cuisine is rooted in Northern California ingredients and shaped by Nordic technique, with a strong focus on preservation, fermentation, sourcing and seasonality. We operate a small, highly focused kitchen where every member of the team plays an important role in the preparation, development and execution of our tasting menu.

Our kitchen and dining room share the same space, allowing guests to experience the kitchen throughout their meal. Because of this, organization, cleanliness, composure and attention to detail are fundamental to the role.

We are looking for a cook who is serious about developing their craft and wants to work at a high level. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, disciplined and genuinely committed to becoming a better chef.

The position offers exposure to all aspects of a Michelin-starred tasting-menu kitchen, including:

• Fine-dining preparation and service
• Fermentation and preservation
• Fish, meat and vegetable cookery
• Sauce work and precise plating
• Working directly with exceptional local farmers, fishermen and producers
• Menu development and seasonal R&D
• Maintaining and running a station through service

Previous Michelin or fine-dining experience is valuable, but attitude, work ethic and a genuine desire to learn are equally important.

Compensation & Benefits

• Approximately $60,000–$65,000+ annually before tips, based on approximately 55 hours per week including overtime
• Tips in addition to hourly compensation
