SoBro Construction — Hillsboro, OR
SoBro Construction is a non-union specialty contractor in the Pacific Northwest, with divisions in electrical contracting and wireless/low-voltage. We do commercial and industrial electrical work across Oregon and Washington.
We're hiring a General Superintendent to lead our electrical division's field operations — the senior licensed electrician who owns how our work gets built. This is a leadership seat with real scope: you set the field standard, run the crews and the schedule across all active jobs, and help drive the division's performance alongside ownership. It's a working leadership role for a subject-matter expert, not an office-only position.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Hillsboro, OR. Contractor-side field leadership experience is required; this is not a design engineering position.
What you'll own
- Field operations across the electrical division: crews, scheduling, sequencing, quality, and installation integrity on all active projects
- Manpower planning and crew development — hiring input, training, and building the field team
- Jobsite safety and code compliance (OSHA, NEC, and state regulations)
- Technical authority for the division — the final word in the field on code, methods, and constructability
- Job walks, site assessments, and pre-construction planning
- Technical input to estimating and bids: constructability, labor, and methods
- Scope-change identification and field-side change order support
- Client and GC relationships at the site and project level — the senior face of our field work
- Division performance alongside ownership: production, labor efficiency, and margin awareness
Who we're looking for
- Oregon Journeyman Electrician license required; Supervising Electrician, Washington 01/Master, or General Electrical Administrator credentials a strong plus
- Deep commercial and/or industrial experience with a track record leading field operations — general foreman or superintendent level, running multiple crews and jobs
- Strong on plans, specs, and code — the person others check their work against
- Commercially sharp: understands labor hours, materials, and change orders as money, and manages the field accordingly
- Develops people — builds foremen and journeymen, doesn't just direct them
- Present and hands-on during the work day, for the field, the office, and clients
- Comfortable in a lean company with real autonomy and real accountability
- Oregon and/or Washington experience preferred; prevailing wage familiarity a plus
Compensation
$120,000–$180,000 base salary depending on experience and licensing, plus license premiums. Health benefits, paid holidays, and PTO. This seat is the path to running the division — for the right person, the role grows into full divisional leadership as the company grows.
The pay range for this role is:120,000 - 180,000 USD per year(HQ)
