About the Role

We're hired by sign companies nationwide to research local government sign regulations — how many signs a property is allowed, size limits, placement restrictions, and more. You'll dig into municipal codes and zoning rules, then summarize your findings on our forms (Excel or Word) so our clients can design signage and apply for permits with confidence.

This is detail-oriented, independent research work — perfect if you enjoy figuring out how local regulations actually work and turning that into something clear and useful.

What You'll Do

• Research applicable sign code ordinances for assigned addresses using public sources (city/county websites, Municode, etc.)

• Call city or county planning/zoning departments directly when information isn't available online

• Complete assignments accurately and on deadline (standard turnaround: 3 business days; rush assignments: 24 hours)

• Communicate by phone and email as needed to meet deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Comfortable reading and interpreting regulatory/technical documents

• Fluent English, strong written communication

• Comfortable working in Excel and Word

• Reliable phone and internet access, PC with Microsoft Office

• Available 20+ hours/week during regular business hours (flexible — work on your own schedule)

• Can take ownership, work independently, and be proactive

Pay & Structure

• 1099 independent contractor

• Base pay starts at $16 per assignment, with additional premiums for more difficult assignments

• Workload varies based on client order volume

• Full training provided on our process and platform once you're on board

100% Remote — No Travel Required
