Job description

Physical Therapist - Regional Health System

Compensation: $35 to $55 depending on years of experience



Position Overview

The Physical Therapist evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, and implements evidence-based interventions to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility. Working in collaboration with physicians and rehabilitation staff, the therapist provides direct patient care, family education, and clinical supervision as needed. This role also contributes to program development, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans in alignment with physician prescriptions
  • Implement therapy interventions to address physical disabilities, injuries, and disorders
  • Provide patient and family education, including instruction in home exercise programs
  • Document treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants and Athletic Trainers to coordinate patient care
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to students and assist with staff development
  • Participate in program development, staff meetings, and departmental committees
  • Maintain current knowledge through continuing education and training opportunities


Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate or Masterโ€™s preferred)
  • Current Wisconsin Physical Therapy license (required)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently
