Company Overview:
The Shack Restaurants takes pride in being a locally owned business providing the Best Wings in our city since 2009!   The Shack is not only known for the best wings in town but also for our delicious made from scratch menu items like burgers, appetizers, salads, and more.  We offer a great atmosphere with sports, live music venues accompanied with great cocktails, and a great selection of beers. 
Job Summary:
The Shack Wings & Brews is a local brand from El Paso Texas, who focuses on serving fried or grilled American foods like chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches and more.  The job as a line cook requires to operate fryers, grills, and ranges.  It is required to prepare foods from scratch all the way to final food presentation.  Other duties required are food safety and sanitation, which require to maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
  • Promote, work, and conduct oneself in a professional manner towards co-workers and behave in a manner consistent with the mission of The Shack Wings & Brews.
  • Inspect and clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • To ensure that food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of the fryers, grills, and other kitchen equipment.
  • To be knowledgeable on all aspects of the standard portions, ingredients, cooking methods, kitchen rules, and other policy and procedures pertaining to the The Shack Wings & Brews.
  • Maintain the kitchen line always stocked and ensure that all items are being rotated properly to The Shack Wings & Brews standards.
  • Handle and store all food products and supplies according to The Shack Wings & Brews policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, season, and garnish all food products to The Shack Wings & Brews standards.
  • Follow all proper guidelines provided by The Shack Wings & Brews on how to prepare, present, and garnish all food products. 
  • Engage in all employee meetings, employee trainings, and other scheduled duties. 
  • Finally, here at The Shack Wings & Brews we like to promote TEAMWORK. 
Qualifications:
Qualifications for line cook require obtaining Food Handlers, must be 18 year of age or older. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
