We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Account Manager to build on the San Antion market. This role is designed for an insurance professional who understands commercial coverages, underwriting, risk management, renewals, and client relationship management at a high level.
The Commercial Account Manager serves as the primary advisor to clients and works closely with producers, carriers, and agency leadership to ensure accounts are properly structured, marketed, and retained. While supported by service staff, the successful candidate must possess the knowledge and expertise to oversee all aspects of the account and provide strategic guidance to clients and team members.

Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned commercial clients.
- Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring client retention, satisfaction, and growth.
- Lead renewal strategy, coverage analysis, and account planning activities.
- Review existing insurance programs and identify coverage gaps, exposures, and risk management opportunities.
- Coordinate renewal timelines and develop marketing strategies with producers and carrier partners.
- Analyze carrier proposals and negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage enhancements.
- Present renewal recommendations and coverage solutions to clients.
- Assist producers in new business opportunities, prospect meetings, and client presentations.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and clients.
- Provide technical guidance regarding commercial lines coverages, policy forms, endorsements, and underwriting requirements.
- Identify cross-selling and account-rounding opportunities to strengthen client relationships and agency revenue.
- Keep producers informed of significant account activity, renewal developments, and emerging client needs.
- Participate in strategic account reviews and agency growth initiatives.
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetites, and regulatory changes.
Requirements- Active Texas Property & Casualty Insurance License.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial insurance experience, preferably in account management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property & casualty insurance coverages.
- Strong understanding of commercial underwriting, policy analysis, rating, and carrier marketing.
- Ability to independently manage complex middle-market and commercial accounts.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
