Job description

About the Role:
Join our team at Gallan Lumber as a Mill Worker in South Paris, ME!  This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll play a crucial role in the production process.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a milling equipment to ensure efficient production.
  •  Report any maintenance needs to supervisors promptly
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform quality checks on wood products to meet specifications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving machinery issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.  
  •   
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or mill environment is a plus.
  • Ability to operate machinery and tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.
  • Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
