MARKETING SPECIALIST โ€“ Atlanta, Georgia
Our Atlanta office is looking for a highly motivated, well-organized and highly collaborative Marketing Specialist. The Marketing Specialist reports to the Marketing Director and is primarily responsible for the writing, preparation and delivery of proposals (RFP/RFQ, Various state forms, SF 330s). The ideal candidate is also responsible for assisting the team with the management and production of various other client-facing projects including but not limited to writing and design of marketing collateral; award submittals; special events and tradeshow support; internal corporate communications; and general departmental activities.
The Marketing Specialist will work in a team environment with the other team members to meet the overall marketing needs of the firm. This candidate will also work closely with the technical (architectural) staff and must be able to communicate with these team members to successfully accomplish their job functions. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for meeting their deadlines, managing their resources and must pay close attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality in their work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Background/Education
  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal preparation
  • College degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Architectural / Engineering / Construction Industry preferred
  • Must have strong proposal writing, communication and graphic layout skills
  • Must have working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (most importantly InDesign or equivalent page-layout program), MS PowerPoint and MS Word, Asset Management Programs, Deltek, Social Media sites and Conference / Tradeshow scheduling amp; support
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work with both technical and non-technical professionals
Knowledge and Skillset Required
  • Interest in leadership and ability to develop project management skills
  • Interest in building and nurturing client relationships
  • Graphic communication skills to support a variety of presentation media: presentation drawings, marketing materials, feasibility studies, etc.
  • Skilled in analytical thinking to support the design process
  • Self-motivated individual able to work well in a collaborative office environment
  • Good computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative suite
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines and interact effectively with others in the workplace
