Contract Architectural Drafter — Residential Permit Sets (Remote, 1099)

Santa Barbara Permitting is a white-glove pre-construction firm handling feasibility, design, and permitting across Santa Barbara County. Our project load is growing and we're looking for an experienced contract drafter to produce permit-ready residential sets.

What you'll do

• Develop permit-ready architectural sets (floor plans, elevations, sections, details) in Revit and/or AutoCAD from concepts, redlines, and site info
• Prepare sets to be engineer-ready and coordinate with structural/Title 24 consultants
• Address municipal plan-check corrections and produce revised sets
• Keep clean, organized files to our standards

You have

• 5+ years drafting residential permit sets in California
• Strong Revit/AutoCAD skills and your own software/equipment
• Solid grasp of California residential code and Title 24
• A portfolio of permitted projects (CA; Santa Barbara County a big plus)
• Reliability and clear communication
