Job description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Canvas Fabricator to assist with the production of custom marine canvas products.

This position focuses primarily on fabrication and industrial sewing. Projects will often be pre-cut and prepared, allowing you to focus on producing clean, consistent, high-quality work. Every project is custom-built, so craftsmanship and attention to detail are essential.


Responsibilities

  • Sew and assemble custom marine canvas products using industrial walking-foot sewing machine.
  • Install zippers, binding, webbing, reinforcements, windows, and other canvas components.
  • Assemble projects from prepared materials and patterns.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Communicate any questions or concerns before proceeding with fabrication.


Qualifications

  • Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
  • Experience with marine canvas, upholstery, awnings, or other heavy-fabric products is preferred.
  • Ability to produce straight, consistent stitching and clean finished work.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to lift and handle large sections of fabric.


Schedule

  • Part-time (15–25 hours per week).
  • Flexible weekday hours.
  • Opportunity for additional hours as the business continues to grow.


Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, starting at $20/hr.
