Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Canvas Fabricator to assist with the production of custom marine canvas products.
This position focuses primarily on fabrication and industrial sewing. Projects will often be pre-cut and prepared, allowing you to focus on producing clean, consistent, high-quality work. Every project is custom-built, so craftsmanship and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Sew and assemble custom marine canvas products using industrial walking-foot sewing machine.
- Install zippers, binding, webbing, reinforcements, windows, and other canvas components.
- Assemble projects from prepared materials and patterns.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Communicate any questions or concerns before proceeding with fabrication.
Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
- Experience with marine canvas, upholstery, awnings, or other heavy-fabric products is preferred.
- Ability to produce straight, consistent stitching and clean finished work.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to lift and handle large sections of fabric.
Schedule
- Part-time (15–25 hours per week).
- Flexible weekday hours.
- Opportunity for additional hours as the business continues to grow.
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience, starting at $20/hr.
