Job Title: Licensed Family Therapist

Location: Sabino Recovery

As a Family Therapist
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health, emotional well-being, and family dynamics to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, workshops, and educational programs focused on family dynamics, communication skills, and relationship building.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
  • Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in family therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and families as needed.
  • Educate clients and families about mental health, addiction, and recovery processes, offering tools and strategies for ongoing support and relapse prevention.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards, ensuring a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for all clients.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing family therapy in a clinical setting, preferably with experience in addiction and mental health treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of family systems theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and other therapeutic approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and families.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest research and practices in family therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
