We're excited to announce the expansion of Story Cottage!

Our newest boutique-style memory care home is opening September 1, 2026, just south of 116th Street and Westfield Boulevard in Carmel.

We're looking for a Part-Time Cook/Chef to join our team before we open. If you're passionate about preparing delicious, nutritious meals and creating a warm dining experience, we'd love to meet you!

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Previous cooking or chef experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a restaurant setting.

Food Safety: Current ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Compassion: A genuine desire to serve older adults with kindness, patience, and respect.

Skills: Ability to prepare nutritious meals, accommodate dietary needs, maintain kitchen organization, and work independently.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus and resident dietary requirements.
• Create attractive, home-cooked meals that residents enjoy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate ordering needs.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Work closely with the house manager for an exceptional dining experience.
• Attend staff training as required.
• Maintain a neat appearance and follow Story Cottage Living's dress code.
• Uphold Story Cottage's WE FLOURISH Brand Standards every day.
