Our client, a well-established law firm in Toronto, is seeking a Residential Real Estate Law Clerk to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential real estate files from open to close, including purchases, sales, refinances, and transfers
- Prepare and review closing documents, statements of adjustments, and reporting letters
- Conduct title and off-title searches and review title documents
- Coordinate mortgage funding and liaise with lenders, clients, and opposing counsel
- Prepare and register documents through Teraview
- Communicate with financial institutions, clients, and third parties throughout transactions
- Maintain accurate file records and manage transaction deadlines
- Assist with post-closing matters and file reporting
- Provide general support on residential real estate matters as required
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Residential Real Estate Law Clerk
- Strong experience handling residential real estate transactions independently
- Proficiency with Teraview, Unity, Conveyancer, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of residential real estate procedures and documentation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
