Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and consistent Pool Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll service residential swimming pools on a weekly route by testing and balancing water chemistry, brushing and netting debris, emptying baskets/bags, and confirming equipment is operating properly. Start time is 8:00am. Weekdays required; occasional weekend work required as needed.
This is a fast-paced, outdoor position that requires basic math, strong consistency, and clear communication with the office and lead technician.
Key Responsibilities
  • Service a daily route of residential pools with consistent, high-quality workmanship
  • Test pool water and add chemicals accurately according to company standards
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including:
  • Brushing pool surfaces
  • Netting debris
  • Emptying skimmer and pump baskets
  • Emptying/cleaning pool sweep bags (when applicable)
  • Operate pool equipment as needed (turn system on/off, confirm circulation/flow, basic checks)
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report issues immediately (examples: low flow, leaks, air in system, unusual noises, broken lids/baskets, equipment not running)
  • Complete service documentation each visit (water readings, chemicals added, tasks completed, notes/photos when needed)
  • Communicate promptly with the office/lead tech about pool issues, missed access, unsafe conditions, animals, or anything affecting service quality or scheduling
  • Maintain a clean, stocked service vehicle and handle supplies responsibly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive brushing, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality (this role depends on consistency)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat/cold and performing physical work (walking, lifting, bending, brushing)
  • Strong attention to detail (cleanliness, water chemistry accuracy, completing checklists)
  • Basic math skills (measuring and multiplying dosages accurately)
  • Good observation skills (dirty areas, algae starting, odd equipment sounds, low water level, etc.)
  • Strong communication and professionalism with customers and team
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Work Style / Expectations
  • Works independently on a route, but stays connected with the team through consistent updates
  • Follows company SOPs and treats each pool like it’s the standard for the whole business
  • Takes pride in clean, safe pools and accurate chemical work
