JOB SUMMARY

The Spa & Wellness Manager supports the strategic and daily operations of our luxury spa, working in close collaboration with the Spa Director to deliver exceptional guest experience. This role plays a key part in managing the spa team, coordinating services, upholding operational standards, and ensuring excellence in service delivery, cleanliness, and safety. The Spa Manager serves as a hands-on leader and key point of contact for both guests and team members, actively contributing to a serene, welcoming, and elevated spa atmosphere.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in spa or wellness management, preferably in a resort or luxury hospitality setting.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.

• Working knowledge of spa treatments, services, products, and trends.

• Experience in team leadership, scheduling, and inventory management.

• Familiarity with spa software systems and guest service standards.

FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Assist the Spa Director in the daily supervision of spa operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow across all service areas.

• Provide direct leadership to the spa team, including front desk, therapists, aestheticians, attendants, and support staff.

• Serve as a key contact for guest feedback and service recovery; handle guest concerns with poise and urgency.

• Maintain high service and cleanliness standards throughout the facility, inspecting areas regularly and addressing any deficiencies.

• Oversee the scheduling of team members to ensure proper coverage and efficiency in service delivery.

• Support in onboarding, coaching, and training team members in alignment with Wyndham service standards and spa protocols.

• Assist with product and inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and control of expenses.

• Collaborate with the Spa Director on marketing efforts, promotions, and events to increase revenue and guest engagement.

• Monitor retail sales performance and encourage staff to promote appropriate wellness and beauty products.

• Support the execution of group bookings and special events, ensuring every detail is coordinated and guest expectations are exceeded.

• Prepare and review reports related to guest feedback, revenue performance, and staffing to support strategic decisions.

• Act as the Manager on Duty (M.O.D.) in the absence of the Spa Director.

• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

• Ensure all licenses, certifications, and compliance requirements are met by the team and maintained consistently.

• Perform any other duties as requested by management to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and be on-site to oversee daily operations.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and assist with light physical tasks when needed (e.g., setting up for special events or promotional displays).

Set between the Atlantic coast and the foothills of El Yunque, Puerto Rico's only tropical rainforest, Wyndham Grand Rio Mar spans 600 acres in Rio Grande, just a short drive from San Juan. Here, two championship golf courses wind through rainforest and coastline, a mile of secluded beach meets the Mameyes River, and nearly a dozen restaurants and lounges bring the island's flavor to every table. It is a rare setting where mountain, river, and sea come together, and for almost 30 years it has been a place where careers grow alongside unforgettable guest experiences. Join us, and become part of work that changes lives, starting with your own.

From opportunities for learning and growth to benefits that help our team live better lives, we’re always finding ways to foster a fun and inclusive environment.
