TITLE: Production Materials Handler

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing - Pressure

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction and guidance of the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Material Handler at Reotemp Instruments performs material picking and order prioritization functions. This role involves initiating production orders, ensuring materials are available for manufacture, following Bill of Materials (BOM), coordinating with purchasing and warehousing teams, and maintaining good safety and housekeeping practices. The Production Material Handler actively contributes to process improvement and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate production orders when signals are triggered and materials are on hand.

• Follow the BOM to include all necessary components in the kit to complete the order.

• Coordinate with purchasing and warehousing teams to maintain material product types and prevent inventory shortages.

• Plan sub-components and assemblies with customer-received hardware.

• Follow established safety practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of warehousing, logistics, material handling, or manufacturing safety practices.

• Enthusiastic, quick learner, and positive attitude.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision.

• Dependable, with a strong work ethic (minimum 40 hours/week).

• Good communication skills in English (read & speak English proficiently).

• Ability to work with electronic technologies (Computers, Scanners, etc.).

• Obtain internal certification to operate forklifts, order pickers, or other materials moving equipment.

• Demonstrated flexibility to handle diverse tasks and work assignments.

• Ability to work with teams to achieve common goals.

• Attention to detail in organizing materials and prioritizing tasks.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, and/or manufacturing production settings.

• Familiarity and willingness to learn how to search and input data in computer systems.

• Disciplined and excellent organizational skills.

• Thrives in an environment of shifting priorities and can prioritize work with minimum supervision.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Google Sheets) and email.

• Ability to lift materials up to 40-50 lbs.
